The China Electronics Technology Group Corporation's 38th Research Institute (hereafter referred to as CETC 38), established in Guizhou in 1965, was relocated entirely to Hefei by the end of 1988. Today, the institute employs over 3,000 people, with an average age of 34. As a key research institution for cutting-edge defense-oriented electronic equipment in China, it is proudly known as the "national team" of China's military electronics industry. Over more than 50 years of innovation and dedication, CETC 38 has evolved into a comprehensive high-tech research institute integrating research, development, manufacturing, and testing in the field of information electronics. It boasts internationally advanced design and R&D platforms, state-of-the-art electronic manufacturing facilities, and leading-edge electronic testing and experimentation infrastructure—equipping it with robust capabilities to drive innovation in electronic information technology and deliver integrated system engineering solutions. CETC 38 is home to several prestigious R&D centers, including a National-level Integrated Circuit Design Center, a Russian New Technology R&D Center, the CETC Aerostat Platform R&D Center, the Anhui Provincial Automotive Electronics Engineering Research Center, the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory for Public Security Information Technology, the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory for Beidou Satellite Navigation, the Hefei Public Security Technology Research Institute, and a Postdoctoral Research Station. In its more than five decades of operation, the institute has achieved over 1,500 scientific and technological breakthroughs, earning more than 100 national and provincial/ministerial-level awards for scientific and technological progress. Many of these innovations have not only filled critical domestic gaps but have also placed China at the forefront of global advancements in their respective fields. CETC 38 has earned numerous accolades, including titles such as "National Advanced Grassroots Party Organization," "National Civilized Unit," "National May Day Labor Award," and "Central Enterprise Advanced Grassroots Party Organization."
