April 22, 2026 Zhaoyi Innovation Announces the Official Launch GD32F5HC Series 32-bit General-Purpose Microcontroller This product is built on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core and boasts key advantages such as compact form factor, high clock frequency, large memory capacity, and robust security, while also delivering ultra-low power consumption and a rich array of peripherals. It perfectly meets the demands for miniaturization, high performance, and enhanced security in applications such as consumer electronics, smart homes, and industrial control, providing a cost-effective chip solution for upgrading smart terminal products. Currently, samples and development boards for the GD32F5HC series are fully available, with accompanying technical documentation and software tools also released simultaneously, ensuring that customers’ rapid development and mass-production needs are met.

GD32F5HC Series Equipped with the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, this device delivers a maximum clock speed of 200 MHz and natively supports DSP digital-signal extensions and FPU floating-point operations, enabling efficient handling of a wide range of complex computational tasks and providing robust processing power to support intelligent device operation. In terms of memory configuration, this series breaks new ground in capacity among products of the same specification, featuring up to 2,048 KB of on-chip Flash, 320 KB of SRAM, and a 32 KB I-Cache—sufficient to easily meet the demands of large-program storage and high-speed data caching.
The chip integrates the TrustZone® security architecture to establish a hardware-level security protection system, supporting dual-layer access control via MPU and SAU to fortify the security perimeter at the kernel level. It features a built-in 2-kbit eFuse for secure key storage, an integrated TRNG true random number generator, and a comprehensive suite of hardware encryption algorithms—including SHA, DES/3DES, AES, RSA/DH, and ECC—to meet diverse cryptographic computation requirements and high-security-grade application needs. In addition, the chip provides end-to-end protection across the entire lifecycle, encompassing secure boot, secure storage, secure debugging, and secure firmware updates, and is paired with a unique UID to enable secure device management and identity authentication throughout the device’s entire lifecycle.

GD32F5HC Series It has been deeply optimized for battery-powered, low-power applications, supporting four power modes: active, sleep, deep-sleep, and standby. Each mode delivers outstanding power efficiency: active mode draws only 30.56 mA, while standby mode drops as low as 3.63 µA, offering a significant power-consumption advantage over comparable competitors.
The chip operates over a supply voltage range of 2.7 to 3.63 V and a temperature range of –40°C to +105°C, making it suitable for complex temperature, humidity, and power-supply conditions across a wide range of applications, including industrial and consumer electronics. In addition, it integrates power-management features such as POR/PDR, LVD, and BOR, providing multiple layers of power protection to ensure stable device operation while optimizing power consumption and enhancing operational reliability.
Rich peripherals and high-speed interfaces deliver flexible expandability.
GD32F5HC Series It integrates a rich array of high-speed peripherals and communication interfaces, enabling flexible connectivity with various external devices to meet diverse data transmission and control requirements. In terms of digital peripherals, it features 2× SPI, 1× I2S, 1× SQPI, 1× QSPI, 2× I2C, 3× USART, and 1× USB FS OTG; among these, the QSPI and SQPI interfaces support external PSRAM/Flash memory with a maximum clock frequency of 45 MHz, further expanding storage capacity. The analog peripherals include a 12-bit ADC and integrate a temperature sensor and an IFRP, enabling high-precision analog signal acquisition and processing.
The timer system boasts a rich configuration, including one 16-bit advanced timer, two 32-bit general-purpose timers, four 16-bit general-purpose timers, and one 16-bit basic timer, providing comprehensive support for precise timing, waveform generation, and system monitoring. In addition, the chip features an 8-channel DMA0/DMA and a DMAMU module, which significantly enhance data transfer efficiency and free up CPU processing power.
