Beijing Time, China (January 22, 2026) — Zhaoyi Innovation announced the official launch of its next-generation GD32H7 series of ultra-high-performance MCUs, including the GD32H789/779 series of ultra-high-performance general-purpose MCUs and the GD32H78E/77E series of ultra-high-real-time MCUs equipped with an integrated EtherCAT® slave controller. These products are based on the Arm® Cortex®-M7 core, operate at clock speeds up to 750 MHz, and feature a high-speed, large-capacity memory architecture as well as 640 KB of tightly coupled memory (TCM) that runs at the same frequency as the CPU. This combination achieves an organic integration of high performance, low dynamic power consumption, and high-speed communication. The microcontroller series is suitable for applications in areas such as servo control, variable-frequency drives, digital power supplies, portable electronics, smart home systems, and fire protection, setting a new benchmark for performance and laying a solid hardware foundation for the upgrade of next-generation intelligent equipment.

Performance Iron Triangle: 750MHz Core, High-Speed Storage, and Zero-Wait Access

The GD32H78E/77E and GD32H789/779 series MCUs are both based on the high-performance Cortex®-M7 core, with a main frequency reaching up to 750 MHz. These chips feature ultra-high storage configurations, supporting up to 2 MB of Execution Flash and 8 MB of Storage Flash, and are equipped with 1.2 MB of SRAM. Notably, they also come with a large-capacity tightly coupled memory (TCM) of up to 640 KB, enabling CPU operation at the same clock speed and ensuring zero-wait execution of instructions and data. Whether handling high-real-time tasks, complex algorithms, or intensive data processing, this innovative architecture continuously unleashes computing power, delivering faster system responses and more stable performance.

Flexible storage with powerful expansion interfaces

This series of MCUs demonstrates high flexibility in external storage and expansion connectivity, featuring two OSPI interfaces that support clock frequencies up to 200 MHz and dual-data-rate (DTR) mode. These interfaces enable efficient direct connections to a variety of external memory devices, including PSRAM, HyperRAM, NAND Flash, and NOR Flash, facilitating high-speed data exchange.

Meanwhile, the GD32H78E/77E and GD32H789/779 series microcontrollers both integrate a 16/32-bit EXMC module, further expanding their connectivity capabilities. This allows direct interfacing with external SDRAM and FPGAs, significantly boosting system memory capacity and data processing bandwidth while also providing a convenient and reliable bridge for complex system integration and customized hardware collaboration.

How to Use a Multiphase Boost Converter

When the required system voltage exceeds the available supply voltage, a boost converter is typically an ideal solution. However, conventional standard boost topologies are not the only option. In certain application scenarios, phase-shifted multiphase boost converters can deliver superior performance: these converters achieve higher efficiency under heavy-load conditions while significantly reducing the required capacitance values for both the input and output stages.
