Northern Night Vision Technology Research Institute Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Night Vision Institute Group") is the largest domestic R&D and production base for core night vision components and equipment in China. It serves as a key national-level support unit ensuring independent control over infrared devices, as well as the sole supporting entity for achieving self-reliance in low-light imaging devices and OLED micro-display technologies. The company was restructured in 2010 through the merger of Kunming Institute of Physics, Yunnan Northern Optoelectronic Instruments Co., Ltd., and Northern Night Vision Technology Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Wuhua District, Kunming, it operates research and production facilities in Kunming Economic Development Zone, Haikou, Nanjing Economic Development Zone, and Xi'an High-Tech Zone. The group boasts total assets of 10.3 billion yuan and employs a workforce of 3,600 people.
