China Electronics Technology Group Corporation No. 47 Institute

The China Electronics Technology Group Corporation’s 47th Research Institute (hereafter referred to as CETC-47), established in 1958, is a national-level military-industrial research institute specializing in the development and production of military-grade integrated circuits, discrete devices, and microsystem modules. The institute boasts comprehensive resources and capabilities spanning design, packaging, testing, reliability assessment, and application, having achieved nearly 2,000 scientific research breakthroughs and earned more than 160 awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels. CETC-47 is equipped with domestically advanced integrated circuit design and development platforms, along with cutting-edge testing systems. It also operates a highly reliable packaging R&D production line, supported by state-of-the-art reliability testing and inspection equipment. The institute has successfully obtained certifications including GJB9001C-2017 for its quality management system, GB/T19001-2016 for quality management, GB/T24001-2016 for environmental management, and GB/T45001-2020 for occupational health and safety management. Since its establishment, CETC-47 has developed a wide range of semiconductor discrete devices, microcomputer circuits, microcontroller circuits, memory circuits, AD/DA converter circuits, FPGA circuits, power management circuits, bus interface circuits, radiation-hardened integrated circuits, hybrid integrated circuit modules, and system boards—all of which have reached either internationally advanced or domestically leading levels. Notably, several of these projects marked significant milestones, achieving firsts in China’s integrated circuit industry. Among them are China’s first 8-bit microprocessor, the country’s first nuclear-hardened 8-bit microcontroller, and the nation’s first radiation-resistant 16-bit microcontroller—this last being the very first integrated circuit in China to win the prestigious First-Class Award in National Defense Science and Technology. Today, CETC-47’s products are widely utilized in critical military applications across sectors such as aerospace, aviation, naval vessels, weaponry, electronics, and the nuclear industry, making substantial contributions to both China’s defense sector and the broader microelectronics industry.
